FLIGHT - Aether

Comfort Sky

The private jet class Aether from the Flight department is named appropriately for this because it too belongs in the sky. Its design was meant to be one with the heavens, and to stay there for long periods of time. The advanced jet engines go along with the Flight crew’s own design of Ion engines, another breakthrough and advancement in the name of better transportation. The rotating wing accommodating the Ion engines allow the Aether vertical landing and take offs, uncommon for jet liner designs.

Dimensions

The Aether is comparable to a business jet in class and size, but is slightly bigger. It has a wingspan of 14 metres including the rotating section for the Ion engines. It stands 6 metres high and 14 metres in length and has a maximum takeoff weight of 15000 lbs., mostly thanks to the Ion engines. With a capacity of 5-6 passengers, the Aether can accommodate 1-2 pilots and can have a loaded weight of up to 9,000 lbs.

Performance

It’s cruise speed is at 650 km/h with a maximum speed of Mach 1 (1234.8 km/h). The service ceiling of the Aether is 14,000 metres and the rate of climb at 920 metres per minute, truly calling the sky as it’s home. The current range of the Aether at maximum takeoff weight is 1,200 nautical miles and requires a landing distance of about 700 metres without the use of Its Ion Engines. It’s recommended take off distance when not vertically taking off is 950 metres.

Features

To accommodate the design and class of the Aether, the cabin is full of features to increase comfort to any passenger. Along with free range wireless internet, passengers can also enjoy live broadcasts from anywhere they want, as well as from what’s around them, thanks to the wide panoramic windows surrounding the Aether. Ceiling skylights also help to elevate the experience as passengers can enjoy the sky in the daylight or the stars during night fall. Boarding the Aether is an experience we truly strive our passengers never to forget.
